Can someone explain to me the state of modern medicine in the year 2009, where a patient has been injured for several weeks, has been evaluated by countless high-end sport medical professionals from California to NY, but yet only after a month is the diagnosis of hamstring tear proclaimed???
Don’t get me wrong, I love doctors. In fact I’m from a family of them. But for some reason the fact that Reyes is only now being told he has a hamstring tear either leads me to believe modern medicine is no better than it was in the 1950’s and your sore throat means you either have a sore throat or you’re about to die… OR, it’s just the Mets organization and they’re continued cluelessness in dealing with players who are hurt.
Either way it doesn’t give me much hope.
